Vintage Trick or Treat

This is by far one of the GREATEST vintage Halloween photos I have ever seen. I do not know where I got this, who it belongs to or even the date of the image. In fact, if any of you have any specific information on it, please share. I just love the feelings it evokes. In my mind, it epitomizes what an old fashioned Halloween would have looked like. Simple, stark, rural. The photo illustrates innocence and yet at the same time it has a rather eerie quality to it. Like these were seemingly the sweet little girls from the farm next door, yet they could easily have been something far more sinister.

I love old Halloween photos like this.

Love the photo. It reminds me of the Bewitched episode when Tabitha brings the goblins that are in her book to life.

I don't remember that episode but it sounds great. I need to go back and watch all those some day. Thanks for reminding me!

Wow, that is a GREAT image. It's the very core of what I love about Hallowe'en in rural America.

I believe those two girls are going to commit a grisly act against their abusive father before the night is done.

Darn...so you aren't the one I got the pic from huh D? I was hoping you'd have some info on it. It is a fantastic image and I couldn't agree more...don't they just look like some evil waiting to unleash? Ha!
