All my friends know how VERY MUCH I adore a big full moon in the sky. It's as if that glowing orb above draws me to it magnetically and supercharges me. I have been known to dance around in the moonlight on occasion. And I could sit and stare up at if for hours. There is just something eternal and magical about the full moon. It has energy that is very feminine. It's also blamed for an increase in crazy behavior and violence...or 'lunacy' as it is otherwise known. Some people claim to have restless sleep during a full moon and I am one of those. But I love the way the light bathes over the earth and washes her in its celestial glow. It's even more majestic shining on a beach over the ocean. There is much folklore surrounding the Moon and our relationship to it. I can highly recommend a wonderfully interesting book titled "The Moon Watcher's Companion: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About the Moon, and More." As you already know, I am the same way when it comes to the full moon. It gives me energy. When I saw it earlier I thought "oboy, we are headed towards a full moon!". I will be on the ferry on Saturday (full moon day) so maybe some interesting photos will present themselves to me.

There is nothing like being lucky enough to have a full moon on Hallowe'en itself. And there is nothing in the sky that looks as wonderful as a big orange Autumn moon.
I totally agree D! The moon in Autumn just seems bigger and more yellow. I wonder how long it will be before we ever get another one near Halloween? I think we had one near it a couple years back maybe. If anyone knows the answer to this, post it here.
