The Gashlycrumb Tinies

" 'The Gashlycrumb Tinies' is a book written by Edward Gorey that was first published in 1963. Gorey tells the tale of 26 children (each representing a letter of the alphabet) and their untimely demise. The book takes the reader through the complete alphabet, accompanied by Gorey's black and white illustrations." And what a dastardly divine book it is too. Sufficiently creepy to make it into my Halloween book collection. You can order the book on Amazon and view it on-line as well. http://users.aol.com/emarko/gorey.html

Gorey was a man ahead of his time. His material is more popular now than it was then. I love it.
