Are these not the most clever use of pumpkins you've ever laid eyes on? I just love these Black Cat Jack O'Lanterns. Put a candle in the head and the eyes light up. I am going to attempt to make one I think. If I succeed, I'll post my results. Meow....

Brilliant idea, cats are cute, but they can be so sinister. It's nice that Jack O'Lantern has some companions for the night anyway. In Brittany, I saw clay-made "poulpicans" (some kind of imp/familiar siprit) that were used as lanterns, based on the same principle as the Jack O'Lantern.
Very creative idea! That would be really neat to see a jackolantern like that!
My daughter and I did one similar in spirit last year. We carved a white craft punlin, painted it black and fashioned it into a kitty's face! I'll have to get some pics up in the near-future!
