My Art - Salem or Bust

Happy 2nd day of October my fiendish friends. I'm just flying by on my way to Hallowe'en Town! Most of you know it by its historical name....Salem! Looking forward to a little R&R in New England. So I am revving up the ole' broomstick and getting ready to fly the friendly skies! It's Salem or Bust for me! Happy Friday everyone!

UPDATE! Well.......that was fast, and BUST it's going to be! Boo Hoo! It's 7:20 am and I'm sad to report that this lil' witch's plans just came to a screeching halt, as my daughter went from perfectly fine to 103 fever with cough and congestion overnight. Flights have been postponed, hotel and rental car cancelled, and we are waiting for the Doctor's office to open at 8:30 to rule out the dreaded Swine Flu. Florida is rife with it right now and the school has already sent children home with it. UGH! It's the very sudden onset of symptoms that we are most concerned with, and there is no way they'd let her on that plane with a fever and cough right now....as well they shouldn't! We will miss meeting up with our friends who we haven't seen in two years, and I will not be seeing any Fall leaves unless we head up to North Georgia later in the month. Oh woe is me! I must be honest and say that everything that could go wrong to effect this trip has been going wrong, culminating in this, the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back. So there is a big part of me that believes that all these signs are telling me this trip was not meant to be, for some specific reason that I obviously just don't know right now! So....that's my crappy update. I'll obviously be here to post my posts now...ha! Hope everyone else has a better weekend than me! Do something fun and 'Fall-ish' so that I can live vicariously through you.

Boo Hooo Hoooo....can you hear me sobbing ladies? That is the sound of a stressed out, over-tired, sorely disappointed, worn-out me who will NOT be going to Salem today. And probably not at all this year. Depends on what transpires with my daughter. Thank you for the Bon Voyages....guess you can welcome me back now! :o(

I hope your daughter is ok and no yuck flu! I'm sorry about your Salem plans. I know how much you were looking forward. :(
I also had plans fall apart. Ghoultide Gathering is tomarrow here in Mi. Some of the best Halloween Artists from around the country will be there. Grandma can't watch my boys so I won't be going. Halloween art and 3 boys don't mix. Ok so there is always next year. Everything happens for a reason I guess! :)

I hate to hear that about your daughter and get that Tamiflu in her and all should be well. My little 7 year old niece had the swine flu...she lives in KY and did very well with the Tamiflu.

Oh no!! Hopefully it's just an ordinary flu bug. You'll have to plan some extra Halloween activities close to home to make up for it (sort of). :(
