A Goth Halloween!

Is it just my imagination, or does it appear that the over-all theme of Halloween in the marketplace this year is more "Goth" than years past? At least if Target's offerings are any indicator . There is an abundance of skulls, gravestones, gargoyles, ravens, skeletons, spiders and bats. There is a lot of grey and black on the shelves. So I've decided to embrace the darker side for my party ware at this year's Pumpkin Carving soiree. Check out these Scary Skull paper goods I scored from some party store that is not Party City. I liked how the masculine skull is softly balanced out by the feminine scroll work in the corners. They are square too, and we all know that it's hip to be square...har har! These beauts were not purchased at Target however, as I liked them better than the ones Target had this year. BUT...I did get the cute matching Skull & Bones candy there though! I also got a nice spiderweb table cloth to go with, and plan to decorate with gravestones and ravens and skeletons...oh my!
