The Good Witch's Udate

Hello to all my Halloween Homies. Sorry for my absence of late, but I had a nice visit from my friend 'Sunshine' last week, hurricanes to contend with, and I finally had to break down and finish my dreaded taxes that we took an extension on in April. Now with that chore behind me....I am in FULL BLOWN HALLOWEEN mode! The decorations are now down from the attic and I am officially decking the Hallowed Halls of Ravenwood Manor. We have some fun Fall projects on the agenda like building a sinister Scarecrow, creating a full Witch's cottage/apothecary, decking my chitlins out as a Hippie and a miniature Wizard respectively, throwing a pumpkin carving party and many more bone tingling adventures.

Halloween is officially out and about here in Florida. The Halloween stores are opening their doors, Party City is putting out their costumes and Target has begun to put Fall/Halloween merchandise up on their shelves. The only thing missing is the chill in the air, the colored leaves, the apples on the trees, the pumpkin patches.....the....oh phooey....let's face it, Fall is non existent here in Florida and that really sucks rotten eggs. But I must remain steadfast in my spookiness and resolve to celebrate Halloween without Autumn. This is the most magickal time of the year and I hope to share my excitement with you in the coming weeks. Please feel free to share some of your own Halloween Happenstance with the rest of us as well. Happy Haunting Guys and Ghouls.

There is no chill in the air here in the mountains of NC yet. I wish.
I miss Party City. Ours closed down.

Boo Hiss...we need a good Autumn chill in the air SOMEWHERE! You'll have to keep me updated on the weather and leaves, as I must live vicariously through my friends! :o)

Ha! I feel ya! Here in Houston it's been 93 degrees and hot as H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks! Heck, I'm hoping we get a little rain off of Ike to cool things down around here!

Fortunately, I can go into several stores around here to get my Halloween fix!

Hey Gilly...I didn't realize you were in Houston. So you have to deal with the Hurricane threats sometimes too. Hooray for the Halloween stores!
