What Color is Candy Corn?

The world has gone Candy Corn Crazy!

Time for today's Color Collage. As mentioned a few posts back, I have added a feature to my blog where I take a color scheme and build a collage around it of images that match the colors theme and title. My first one was Candy Apples. Today's collages are based on that good ole' Halloween candy staple.....CANDY CORN! Yes, you know the stuff....and you either love it or you hate it. Which one are you? But there is no denying that when you see those 3 colors of orange, yellow and white together...your mind thinks Candy Corn. Of course there are now other variations on the old traditional Candy Corn color scheme, such as having browns, greens and purples thrown into the mix. But I still prefer the classic colors the best.

Maybe one reason the colors of the Candy Corn resonate with us the way they do, is because yellow and orange are cheerful colors. And Halloween is a fun time, a cheerful time. Candy Corns are not only a sweet and tasty snack, but let's face it....they are fun, cheerful and always remind us of our favorite holiday. Even if we don't actually like the taste of them, we still appreciate their significance to Halloween and their keen ability to be used as make shift fangs!

As I began my Candy Corn research, I admit...I became overwhelmed at the sheer volume of items that have taken the humble Candy Corn as their design inspiration. So although I was originally just going to show a Color Collage, I thought I'd make a few more so you could see the multitude of ways Candy Corn has been translated into everything from....
