What Color Are Ghost Pumpkins?
We all know that Pumpkins are Orange right? Well that's a seemingly ridiculous question isn't it? Your first vision of a Pumpkin will of course be 'Orange'. But we should all know by now that Pumpkins come in a wide variety of colors...orange, white, green, yellow, brown, gray and of course varigated as well. And everyone usually has a favorite. Well my favorite is the 'White' Pumpkin, which I affectionately call 'Ghost Pumpkins'! Of course I'll ALWAYS love the classic Orange Pumpkin, how could I not? But there is just something artistic to me about the White Pumpkin. It can look clean and modern, it can look rustic and old, it can look witchy and magical and even ghostly! And of course you don't see nearly as many of the white variety as you do the orange...so I give it points just for being the exception instead of the rule.
So today I present 3 Color Scheme Collages on the White Pumpkin, and each color scheme is based on a theme. Which one resonates most with your image of the White Pumpkin? Something with a dark quality to it like the 'Ghost of Poe'? Something more 'spirited' and 'ghostly' in nature like 'Apparitions'? Or perhaps something warm and inviting like 'Spiced Coffee'?

My theory about ghost pumpkins: Jack O'Lanterns, when they are not THE original Jack O'Lantern are inhabited by ghosts and devils who torment mankind when Halloween comes. Some even have the bodies of scarecrows.

Wow Guillaume...that's kind of scary...ha! I may never look at my white pumpkins the same way again...ha! Or at least I will be keeping a very watchful eye on them for any signs of malevolence. ;o)
"Apparitions" conveys an elegance, such as for a Halloween wedding, and "Ghost of Poe" is very Halloweenish, despite the lack of orange.
But the one that appeals to me the most is "Spiced Coffee". Makes me want to snuggle up in a quilt.

I do believe that the Ghost of Poe is my Fav but Spiced Coffee runs a close second.
Oh my goodness, so hard to choose? I love them all. But 'Apparitions' are so beautiful white, it makes me think about white weddings. Great job!!
In the "Spiced Coffee" section of pictures, the last picture on the bottom row has got to be my favorite.

Oooh! I am saving the spiced coffee picture to show my boyfriend the kind of natural, rustic, and a little spooky colors I want to bring into our home.
I love these collages! They're like wedding "idea boards", but for any purpose.
