Hey...it's Sunday and it's almost the 'witching hour'....that means that I still have time to get a post in for the day. So I won' t be as long winded as I usually am in an effort to beat the clock. My post today is simply some 'Dog-gone' cute 'Howl'-o-ween photos. (Get it? Dog...Howl? Har Har) Yeah okay....so anyway, I'm done with the word play for today. These images are of one of our dogs, Shelby. Shelby was a Shetland Sheepdog aka Sheltie. And she passed away last year after 15 years with our family. Shelby was a good and faithful dog who was a great photographer's model. She always obliged my efforts to create seasonal scenes and put her in them. And because she was so obedient, she would literally sit there very still while I took the photo until I told her she could go. No other dog I've ever had would do that. So the first one is an old Halloween photo of my 'not so spooky' canine companion, the Pumpkin Pooch, when she was just a pup. And the second one is a shot of her all grown up. Needless to say...she went as a 'Witch' this year! Does anyone else include their fur babies in their Halloween celebrations? Hope you all had a great weekend. The big day is drawing nigh!

Shelby was so sute !! I know you miss her. We had a Sheltie years ago named Duke. Very smart breed.
Great Halloween Pictures!
Shelby, such a sweet girl. And that puppy picture had me all in that "Awwwww" mode. I got to meet Shelby up close and personal. She was in those golden years at that point, and what a doll. xo
As for dressing up our fur babies. You bet! I typically can not get them to keep their gear on for to long, but I try. Chihuahua's might be a breed that people think enjoy clothing, however my two will have none of it. I usually put bandana's around them with a couple of sheriff badges on them. It works well with their charging for the door on Halloween and barking up a storm for the trick or treaters. Shelby was sure a darling witch and SO good! My goodness, she just looks to be sitting there so patiently with her hat among the Hallow's Eve faire. What a fantastic pup!
oh what a cutie! That is so wonderful how she sat so still. Not many would. Hugs and sparkles - WG
Shelby was the most adorable Halloween Model! You can tell just by looking that she had a sweet personality. :0)
We don't dress up our critters...they just go as their wicked selves. (Lovable but oh so evil sometimes!)
That was a cute dog!
So adorable! I know what it is like to have a dog for 15 years...they're an undeniable part of your family. Losing them is always hard, but the memories are wonderful.
I had a Corgi named Hopkins that was my buddy for 15 fantastic years, and I miss putting his little Dracula cape on him for Halloween!
Ahh, that is so sweet!! It's so hard to lose a beloved pet. I know. I lost my old cat a year and a half ago. We have to be grateful for the wonderful memories!
Well I'm sorry for the losses others of you have had as well. They are fixtures in our lives and you're right, we must honor their memories as the faithful companions they were when they were still with us!
Gill...I love the name Hopkins! I can just see you with a Corgi named Hopkins! :o)
And Mel...I forgot that you got to meet Miss Shelby before she passed away. She really was a good dog!
She looks like she was such a love! What a little angel.
