Snape Appeal

Okay, I am still in Harry Potter mode, and will be short on time today...so I thought I'd post a "Hallowe'enish" photo of Professor Snape. Tis' true that I do tend to agree with the consensus that there is something darkly appealing about Professor Snape. I showed my daughter an image of Alan Rickman without his 'Snape' appeal, and she couldn't even believe it was the same person. Amazing how hair and make-up can transform a man. I liked this particular image because of the little jack o' lantern. But I also believe that 'Potions' class would have been one of my favorites at Hogwarts if I were a student there....that, and 'Divinations' class...ha! Hope everyone has a Magickal Monday!

His make up threw me for a loop in the first Harry Potter film because he was always Colonel Brandon in Ang Lee's 1995 version of Jane Austen's Sense & Sensibility. He was so dapper, etc in that film ~ and of course Snape is dapper in his own dark way. I really do love Alan Rickman as an actor.
