Today's post is in admiration of the Spooktacular art of Belle Dee. She has quickly become one of my favorite artists who rock the Horror/Hallowe'en category. Whether she is doing character sketches of Classic Horror Movies or getting her Vintage Hallowe'en groove on....she does it with style, color and precision. It's no easy task to get the facial features right when drawing (especially the eyes), but Belle Dee always nails it perfectly. Belle's style is unique, creative and fun. She shares some of what inspires her fiendishly fabulous art...."Two things I love: One, Any cartoon from the 1920's-1940's that has dancing skeletons,
ghosts, graveyards, haunted houses, etc. Two, Any spooky novelty song from 1900's-1940's that has crazy whistles and wot-not. Usually sounds like it came from a cartoon with dancing skeletons, ghosts, graveyards, haunted houses, etc. "I especially I love it when she uses monochromatic and analogous color schemes...as they remind me of another favorite artist of mine, Shag. There is no doubt that Belle Dee is a su
per talented artist who is also a big Hallowe'en Lover, and her work is top notch. Be sure to check out more of Belle Dee's amazing talent at www.doowackadoodles.blogspot.com.

Thanks for the nice words!
Wens, you picked out some good pieces to showcase. I'm looking forward to doing another Halloween piece, as I had so much fun doing that one!
Very talented indeed! I'm with Frog Queen...her lady vamps are my fave. Of course, they're all good, I'm just partial to vamps. :)
I am so glad all you Hallowe'en Heads are getting to check out Belle Dee's work. She is really talented and I just love her and her art!
Thank you Belle for allowing me to post on your art. I'm waiting with baited breath for the next vintage piece! You rock! :o)
Hmmm, I haven't heard of Belle Dee. Very cool. I like what I see. I'll have to check out more of her stuff! Ahh, I just realized she's on here! LOL Cool. Anyone who loves Halloween enough to create art for it scores high in my book. ;)
I'm a very amateur artist. I've drawn things all my life (mostly) and just this past year, decided 'What the heck', I'll share some of my doodlins. Somebody might like what I do. It's also been a great learning process for me, as I feel like I progress a little with each piece I work on. Right now I'm just having fun, drawing stuff I like!
You are a GREAT artist Belle, and I think you really need to get more of your work out there for people to see!
Her work is superb!!!! I love it! ^_^
