She's Come To Haunt the Party!

OMG....IT'S HERE! Well maybe not officially in your neck of the haunted woods, but the first sightings of the Martha Stewart Halloween Magazine have been reported. So start checking your newsstands and bookstores now. It's already out in some areas according to other blogs, so I'm just passing along the exciting news. I could not find it on her website though. I have my hubby checking the bookstore on his way home from work today, but my guess is, it won't be out just yet. I love the cover because I myself had been throwing around a 'Victorian' witchy look for this year, so I can just bet I'm going to love this issue. Speaking of Hallowe'en costumes, if any of you ghouls and guys has any suggestions or ideas on how to create a 'Victorian' witch costume...please offer them up here, or give me links to places with images or items that could be used. I'd be much obliged! Happy Hump Day!

I haven't seen the mag.in my neck of the woods just yet. I got an email to sign up for her Halloween workshop. I thought it was early but for me it's never too early. Here's a great catalog that has great victorian costumes. They don't have much listed on the website but the have a lot in their catalog. www.victoriantradingco.com :) Becca

Well ladies...it appears it is not in MY neck of the woods just yet either, as the hubby was unable to find it at Borders or Target. Boo Hiss! So I will remain on the hunt, but even just seeing the cover makes me happy. I'm easy to please...ha!

And thanks Becca, I will check out that website asap. Much appreciative! :o)

Just found it in my little local grocery store, of all places! Only two left on the rack - whew - got it just in time! Thanks so much for the heads up, otherwise I'd never have been looking this early!

Well, it wasn't out yesterday, but it was out today. Got mine at Barnes & Noble, but the grocery store had it too. I haven't even had a second to sit down and look through it yet. :o(

I'm new here so I don't know if you sew but if you do Simplicity has a very nice pattern (2851) that I'm making up into my Victorian steampunk costume. You might check it out. Awesome blog- found you through Dave Lowe and I plan to come back soon.

Okay, see what I get for not checking your blog for a few days. I miss out on important information!! I've got to get my be-hind down to the book store, ASAP!!!!

Nice to meet you HB86, glad you stopped by and I appreciate the info on the Simplicity pattern. Unfortunately, I cannot sew a thing...but maybe I could get a seamstress to fashion me one. I did find a very similar 'Burlesque Witch' costume available at the costume stores, but it is a little short in front for my tastes, even though it's perfect.

And YES Belle...run, don't walk...it is indeed out my friend. I have to read it again though because I was too tired to comprehend anything last night.
