Seasonal Shopping

So yesterday, I went to the Home Goods closest to my house, and they had lots of Halloween merch out on the shelves. And I just have to say, that they are hands down my favorite place for Halloween stuff from 'chain' stores. I got a few things, but I also have my husband on a recon mission for me today, because he travels all around, so he is scoping out two other HomeGoods stores on the other side of town to see if the goods warrant my making the trip out there. In fact, I'm awaiting some photos as we speak....ha! Above is an image I snapped of some Box Lamps that I thought were pretty cool. They have a small bulb in them which illuminate the cut out parts. I liked the vintage-y color and style of the art a lot. So I went to the lamp section and plugged them in, but I didn't think they lit up all that well. But even so, they still look really cool.
I also stopped by Cracker Barrel last night too, and their Fall and Halloween goodies are now on display. They had some nice Witch Hats and other assorted items. I didn't get a whole lot, I bought this Owl Serving Platter because I use them for my parties and to take to school, and this little 'Witch's Brew' Bottle. Other than that, I bought a newsboy hat, which has nothing to do with Halloween.
And lastly, I hit up Bath & Body Works to get a 'whiff' of their new Autumn Scents. There are a lot of nice offerings, some old favorites, and some new brews with more sophisticated names and aromas. After smelling them all 1111 times, I finally decided that 'Black Pepper Bergamot' is my favorite, followed by 'Mahogany Teakwood' and 'Leaves'!
But of course smell is a personal thing, and I like dark, spicy, witchy scents, so those were as close as they come. But if you prefer sweet, foody, gourmand scents....then there is a veritable smorgasbord to choose from at Bath & Body Works. I was also diggin' on some of the names like "Bonfire Maplewood", "Marshmallow Fireside" and "Cinnamon Sugared Donut"....names that give me the Warm Fall Fuzzies! They also have an assortment of Halloween themed Anti-Bacterial Hand Gels that can be carried around in cute lil' Mr. & Mrs. Frankenstein Holders!So that's it for today....gotta go get some work done! :o)
