(Images by Annie Leibovits © DisneyParks.com / msn Photo Blog)Oh these are really 'spooktacular'! Looks like Disney just released some photos today, taken by famed photographer Annie Leibovits. Apparently she has been doing an on-going book project of "Disney Dream Portraits", and just shot some promotional images for Disney Parks. These portraits utilize famous stars to portray Disney's best characters and villians. There is a great one of Russell Brand as Captain Hook, but of course this is a 'Halloween' related blog which includes all things ghostly....so my favorite is "The Hitchhiking Ghosts" from the Haunted Mansion, starring funnymen Will Ferrell, Jack Black and Jason Segel! The portraits will be released as special inserts in the Fall issues of magazines like “GQ,” “People,” and "Vanity Fair", just to name a few. The photos are being commissioned and used by Disney to promote their parks. I know these make me want to go hang out at the Haunted Mansion now. And personally, I think Jack Black nailed it as 'Phineas the Traveler'!
