Charmed Life

Magic comes in many forms. And sometimes it comes in an assortment of shapes, sizes and materials as well. Such is the case of the 'Magical Milagros'! The word milagro is Spanish for "miracle" or "surprise." Milagros are small religious charms carried or kept by devoted believers of a faith, or given as an offering of gratitude to the shrine of a saint. Milagros have traditional meanings associated with each shape, but they can also gain their meaning through the wearer's intentions. In other words, the charms become a tool of sorts for manifestation of your thoughts, hopes and desires.

Some believe these 'charms' have spiritual or magical powers for healing, or protection against supernatural spirits. I believe...that if sporting a cute 'charm necklace' can cure Swine flu AND ward off malevolent entities, then the pharmaceutical companies should be producing these as vaccines instead of all that medicine. I have an affinity for several of the common shapes anyway...like suns, stars, hands and keys. But what do they actually mean? Well I found this list of interpretations for a few of the most popular shapes. I think there is a lil' somethin' somethin' here for everyone. And who among us couldn't use a little extra pizazz and protection?!
