Like most other people in my circle of friends, I LOVE the old Halloween Pin-Up models. I've scoured the web for seveal years always on the hunt for any new ones. I put them all into one file, so I can't be positive where I found them. But I can say that a BIG number of them are ones that my good friend "The Dustwitch" shared with me from his files. And these may very well be those. I find it a bit odd that people think they own the rights to these when EVERYONE out there has them in their files. And I'm sure a few images actually did belong to someone initially who scanned them in...but how can anyone even know unless it is a one of kind original. So although I cannot list where these came from, I've decided to post a few here and there that I enjoy or that fit a theme. The ones above are all notable for the "shadow casting". The shadows are as much a participant in the photo as the girls themselves. Classic retro spookiness at its best! If anyone believes that they own the copyright to one of these images and wishes them not to be shared, I will willingly oblige. Until then...I will share them as I deem fit. Maybe I'll even try to shoot a few copycats of my own this fall. Enjoy!

I love that store! i found it last september when doing an extensive search for Vampire goodies and ideas. I should get those skeleton flamingoes for my niece...she loves the kitschy pink flamingoes like you do.
I could have used that umbrella today. Got caught in the rain...someone even commented on my wetness when I stopped off briefly in a convenience store. ha ha In fact my hair is still damp...

Ha Ha...so groovilicious huh? Yeah...That Mr.D is the spookiest of spooks! :o)
Thank you Wens for the tip o' the hat. I like to think that the fun you and I and our friends were having helped inspire more people to get back to some true Halloween fun. And its because of this renewed interest that vintage halloween is become marketable again. I'd love to see you do some copyca vintage pics like this. That would be so neat. I can hear the gears in your head turning already.
And who the heck is "Dave"? Hmmmm. He's probably mad that I don't remember him. Dave, who are you?
I adore these witches! I've never used them, but I have seen them around. It would be wonderful to see you re-do them with you as the beautiful pin up gal!
My friend Belle Dee did a remake of one and submitted it to the Moon-Rays Halloween Costume photo contest to win a CD. And it is FABULOUS! If you're interested, go to the Moon-Rays page and check their blog, the photo is posted there and it's THE BEST!
Naw, not mad at all, Mr. D! Actually, you know me by another name...The Gill-Man!
